Forward on the Fire Horse
Posted on February 18, 2026
February 17, 2026, marked the beginning of the Chinese New Year, during which we will gallop forward on the Fire Horse. The same day also saw a Solar Eclipse, which started this year’s eclipse cycle. Energetically, a day of great change! And once again, a new beginning, on a new level and with new strength and perspectives.
According to the Chinese horoscope, the Year of the Horse under the fire sign is powerful, forward-driving, and involves quick decisions and new beginnings. So, this also confirms that we are now living in a time of change, dynamism, and creativity. The pace seems to have accelerated, just as we have been told before and urged to prepare for.
So how can we prepare ourselves so that changes, decisions, changing direction, letting go of the old, etc., would come naturally, and we could stay up to date and stick to the decisions we make? Here are some thoughts for those who are at a stage in their lives where moving with the flow of time and making changes means being highly active and making even quick moves.
The traditional idea of living in the moment
On a mental level, this means striving strongly to move away from the past, because carrying the past with you by constantly looking back at it slows you down and prevents you from creating the present. A harmful thought is: I do want a change and changing myself, but I have been thinking about my childhood, my youth, my separations, and, and, and… or, I try to forgive my mother, my ex, and myself first, so that I can move on to something new. Perhaps a better way would be to sincerely pray that forgiveness would happen and the past could be left behind, and then TRUST that this will happen. Once you have thought about and analyzed the burdensome things of the past, that is enough, and the promise of mercy gives you permission to leave them behind. The things you regret, you can also bring up for cleansing as long as you ask for help from the Light.
The same applies to the future, because thinking about the monsters of the future will make them stronger.
So let us strive through our thoughts, and thereby our feelings, to achieve a bright, strengthening that includes faith in our own possibilities, with the help of the Upstairs. The “yes, but” method does not lead to the new, but rather pushes our feet, mind, and energy deep into immobility.
You must grow strong is a standard phrase from the Helpers in recent years, which is now being emphasized. Even if we are sensitive, we need not be victims.
Even if we are strong, we do not have to be tough.
Quick decisions
Rapid energy movement and change involve accepting that the direction, the course of the day, schedules, and agreed-upon matters may change. Perhaps that is precisely why it would be good not to schedule your days too precisely, but to leave room for spontaneity. Making quick decisions and sticking to them shows the strength and power of our intuition.
It is not good to just wait for change; we must also actively create it ourselves. That is how we keep ourselves moving and open to the new. Carpe diem! Because it will pass while you weigh its pros and cons.
Seeing how much life loves us, bringing us messages, tips, and encounters that are meant to wake us up from the sleep we have sunk into in our everyday lives.
Rapid changes tear down our desire to always control and rule our lives and, because of that need, always control and rule others as well. Letting go and trusting life, the power of love, and guidance brings completely new joys, gratitude, and the new beginning we long for, the adventure of life that we quite often envy in others.
Taking responsibility
When the moment is at hand and the decision has been made, it is time to take responsibility. We accept that we are now embarking on this path, we look at its bends and straights and take delight in the journey. Blaming others or circumstances quickly pushes us aside, stops the journey, and distorts the beautiful views into frightening ones and the path into a difficult one. I am a brave traveler on my own path!
Responsibility also includes learning from the journey, because the reason for walking any path is to study ourselves and life. We walk the path so that we could learn to be awake, to see our surroundings and our fellow travelers, and could hear what they teach us and give us.
We also carry responsibility for our feelings and thoughts, and we make sure that the support for our chosen direction is as solid as possible. So let’s stop worrying about whether the choice was “right or wrong.” Now is the time for new!
A positive approach to your own life
Worrying unnecessarily takes a lot of energy and lowers your vibration. It would be good to turn your thoughts outward from yourselves and look at the world around you with confidence. See your friends and fellow travelers with eyes of Light, as supporters on your own path. And at the same time, stand on your own two feet, trusting your own heart. Now we have the power of the Fire Horse to support us, so that the fire in our hearts can grow stronger and carry us forward toward our true selves. Now, at the latest, we are learning to stand tall in ourselves. Of course, pride can be a temptation in this as well. Walking our own path, staying in our own heart space, means being open in the moments and, through that openness, meeting others with humility.
The horse is also a strong example in its wisdom and in its guidance, where it strives to choose the best path, but never boasts about doing that.
Quite often, change requires sacrifices so that we can leave behind the stationary, a state in which we no longer develop and where we long for change. Sacrifices and giving up should be seen as part of the process, and we should strive to be grateful when we encounter them.
Gratitude and appreciation for our own opportunity to be in a body which thus enables creation on a concrete level
The red Fire Horse, combined with the moment of the Solar Eclipse, was so powerful and testifies to a new energy that requires us to be strong, enthusiastic, and creative in guiding it.
Collectively, we are living in a time that both reveals the reality that has already been created but also offers great opportunities for new creation.
We are also living in a time that brings to light everything that is not in harmony with the Creative Source, and that is not always, by any means, beautiful to look at. On a large scale and on an individual level, we are living in a time of raking through the muck, and through that, burning away everything that is not loving is now almost a daily theme. There will be a time when a new, purer level within us and in this visible world will emerge. With this confirmation, I will spend the rest of my day and will return to the topics and themes of spring in my new blog. Asap 😉
